Flight distance calculator

Great-circle distance between any two airports, in kilometres, miles and nautical miles, with an estimated flying time and the time difference between the two.

Geodesic distance is not flight distance

These figures are geodesic distances on the WGS-84 ellipsoid — the shortest path over the Earth's surface, and the same basis published references use. Real aircraft fly longer: they follow airways, avoid restricted airspace, route around weather, and climb and descend. Expect an actual track a few percent longer than the figure shown here.

Distance is not duration

The same route is typically faster eastbound than westbound because of the jet stream, and the flying time shown here is a rough estimate from distance alone — not an airline schedule. For arrival times and date changes, use the time zone planner.
